Leap Launches First Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) - This new service is going to drastically improve the way your phone works with mobile data (internet, videos, music, etc.) this new technology combined with new phones that can use it might just make Cricket Wireless the pioneer in fresh new mobile technology. Cricket Wireless arrives in Oklahoma City - Starting April 8, 2008 Cricket will add Oklahoma City to it's growing network. The plan is that OKC will be the first city to use and take advantage of the new AWS technology. I never thought I'd say this but, I'm jealous of Oklahoma! Here is a direct quote from Cricket's press release regarding this event. "Oklahoma City, which is the first of Cricket market to operate on the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum band, includes approximately 1.1 million new covered POPs, bringing Cricket’s national covered POPs to approximately 55.1 million. "
New Cricket Phones! This week Cricket has added two of Samsung's most advanced new phone's to their line-up. These phones are the MyShot and Spex phones by Samsung.
